JCSA is a 100% volunteer run athletic organization serving the youth of Jersey City by providing an opportunity to play the beautiful game of soccer at both a recreational and more competitive travel level.  While we do contract for professional training services, the core of our association is you, the parent coach volunteer, and the success of our association and our youth depend on a dedicated, trained staff of coaches.

JCSA appreciates your willingness to sacrifice your time to support the youth of our great city, and you should know that you are influencing and shaping their experience with the sport.

There are 4 main requirements to volunteer:

• Grassroots Coaching License  - min 4 hours
• Safesport Training Course (included in Grassroots course) - 90 mins
• Background Check (included in Grassroots course)- 15 mins 
• Agree to JCSA code of conduct T&Cs

Please follow the pages to register for the current season.  We run three seasons per year; Fall, Winter (indoor) and Spring.  This registration will be used to assign you to a  team, in a division, in one of our three programs; co-ed recreation, travel and girls.

All coaches who will work with our players at any level must take an on-line Safesport Training Course and comply for a background check.  Click here to go to our coaches page with all the information and links to complete these requirements.  

Please note that co-ed recreation program coaches returning to coach in their current division will be given preference over coaches new to the division, providing all coaching requirements are properly met.  If you are moving up to the next division with your player, we will hold a coaching spot open for you.  This is a time-honored tradition at JCSA.

All coaches MUST agree to the JCSA code of conduct policy. The club's primary focus is the safety and well-being of our young players and it is the duty of all volunteer parents to agree to the coaching terms and conditions that serve that purpose. Coaching disputes and/or all complaints are sent to the relevant recreation or travel league committees here.
